Happy New Years everyone.

At Wondershake, we are really pumped about 2012.

Back in 2010, the original idea was born under the sunset of San Diego, and we then formed our fantastic team.

In 2011, there were tons of movements.
We joined Open Network Lab, a Japanese version of Y Combinator program.
We’ve got to meet tons of amazing entrepreneurs, mentors and supporters in this incubator. An awesome experience.

Hey Wondershakers,

We had the honor to attend TechCrunch Tokyo 2011 on November 29th.

It was packed with tons of quality content, the most entertaining one being the CEO Kawakami-san from Dwango talking about how Japanese startups could become *crazier*.

As you might know, Dwango created the famous web service called “Nico Nico Douga”.

The key message was, “whatever your startup is doing, try to create a NEW standard”

Hey Wondershakers,

The last part, but never the least part of the Wondershake’s 3 step experience, is the “Party”.

After you have shared your taste by “Shaking” with the people around you, you can then find people with the same tags (which means you have the same tastes), and start a chat room.

Say Hi to the people you find interesting, or people with the same tags!

Share opinions or information about the things you love, or just chat about anything!

Enjoy communicating with people with the same taste, and if you want to keep in touch, you can see their Facebook profiles, and even send a friend request.

Become friends on facebook, plan a meet up right then, or just enjoy chatting!

Possibilities of “Party”s are unlimited!

Got some interesting stories of your “Party”?
We would love to know!
Feel free to drop us a line at contact@wondershake.com

See you at the Party,
Wondershake

Hey Shakerz!

“Last but not least.”
Yesterday was the wrap up.

We really want to congratulate Shaker and Prism (Runners up) for winning a prize. We truly believe that they have deserved prizes and want to honor them.

With that said,
we have a GREAT NEWS to deliver for you fellow Shakers!

We have won a sponsor award for “Best User of Social Data” !!
THRILLed to received this award!

Anyways, TC Disrupt had been really a stimulating experience for our members.
It was our first ever to attend tech event after the release.

Met awesome entrepreneurs, pitching to VCs and audiences, partying, partying, partying…

Just wonderful experiences and moments!!
It really worth every penny and minute of our time.

WE definitely will be up on the Battlefield at the next TC Disrupt!!
Who knows? We may win, right? :)

Hey Shakers!

Yesterday was the second day of Techcrunch Disrupt.

What’s cool about these kind of event is that you actually make new friends, entrepreneur friends from all over the world.

So we hanged around with people we met from the first day (like founders of Eeve,Plango, Slides.io, Spotzot Inc, etc) and shared some struggles and difficulties of how to overcome the problems that all startups have, getting traction and money.

At the battlefield, we have seen some of really innovative companies like;

-Prism: Turning your surveillance camera into a new media for the businesses.

Its like Google Street View that you actually get to view inside of the restaurants and caffe real time.
They have built hardcore algorithm and product to overcome the security issue of real time streaming for the businesses like restaurants.

-CardFlick:  Make your own beautiful digital business card.

Its like Bump but instead of bumping, you Flick it!
Love the UI. It is totally cool.

-SizeUp: Online strategic analyst/consultant for the small businesses.

Hiring a consultant without any fee matches the concept. They have high-quality business intelligence enabling small businesses to scale.

These are some of the amazing startups that we have encountered.

We will be on that seat next time!

**Btw, Eric Ries was there with his book, “The Lean Startup.”
They had a small cocktail party thrown for him.

Here’s the pic of Satoshi (our founder) with Eric! Awesome smiles, you two!

Hey Shakers,

Next we are going to talk about “Shake”.

By selecting your location on the app and pushing “Shake” will enable you to share the “Taste Tags” that you have to the people around you.

You can select which “Tags” you want to “Shake” with, and rearrange them according to your mood!

You will be able to see what other people “Shake”d at the location, and you may be able to see a trend going on!

Remember the colors of the tags on this post?
The same thing can be said about the tags at a location.

See the trending colors and you’ll see what kind of things people there are interested in!

On the next post, we’ll be talking about the “Party”!
Stay tuned guys:)

See you at the party,

Wondershake
